EILEEN MOULDS

"I'm Eileen Moulds and I came to Nocton, as a bride, in 1954 and I have lived here ever since. My husband came to work for Smiths Potato Estates, and we had a cottage, near the post office, before we moved to our present home in Wellhead Lane in January 1957. While I have been here at Nocton, we have had four children and ten grandchildren, so we have quite a family."

CAROL BENNETT

"My husband and I have lived in Nocton for 14 years. We both work at Lincoln Cathedral. He is the Cathedral Librarian and I am the Education Officer. I am also a lecturer in architectural history and it was really because of the architectural history that I first went to the village, to look at the church which is the finest Gothic Revival church in the whole of the diocese. "I got such a good feeling from visiting the church and walking around the village that we found a house up for sale and that is how we came to live in Nocton."

CLIFF BAXENDALE

"I'm Cliff Baxendale and I live in a special village called Nocton. The village trail concept came out of a discussion I had with Eileen Moulds. One day she took my wife Val and I for a walk around the village explaining the village's history. I was so amazed by what we actually heard of its history that I thought what was the best way we could celebrate it? Having an art background I thought that a good way forward might be to have some community art projects in order to make objects that celebrated the village’s heritage.”
Cliff designed and made the Nocton Village Sign, designed the Dandelion sundial and made the brass relief stones at the sundial's base.
